A Law of Searching . . .

The most interesting entry in your search results -- the one whose description exactly matches what you are looking for -- will result in a 404 (not found) error.

Getting just the right terms in your query is difficult enough to get any useable results. But, then it happens, you get the perfect entry. You salavate as you read the brief description . . . You start to sweat as you click on the URL . . . and then . . .

404 error - Page Not found

and you go back to your search list to find that this is the only one which matches your criteria. All the others are either off, or completely irrelevant. Sheesh! You'd think with the millions of web pages indexed on the popular search engines -- you know who you are -- that they could return at least one exact match.

And, of course, it couldn't happen when your putzing around not really doing much. It only happens when it's essential to find the result. You know, to complete your master's thesis or to find the cure to that devistating skin condition.

But then that's life . . . you know Murphy . . .

Weight Loss . . . God's Way!?

I ran across this site in the Google Ads on the site. I'm not going to put in the link as I really don't want to promote this site! But, it's title is "Weight Loss God's Way". Here's the first part of the page:

A Message Of Life-Changing Importance From Christian Weight Loss Coach, . . ., MA, DD: "Please...Stop Dieting! If You Will Renew Your Mind Instead, You Will See Your Body Transformed Forever!" Are You Ready To Enjoy Safe, Struggle-Free, And Permanent Weight Loss Without Drugs, Pills Or Dieting?

I didn't go any further in the site. But, judging from the front page, it.s the same stuff wrapped in the the Bible. It may be as valid as any other weight loss program, but I'm really wondering -- are people really that desperate?
