Admittedly, this is probably one of those turntables for converting your records into some electronic medium, but, still, it's an interesting image. posted 10:10 [/FromMyFone] permanent link Focus . . .. . . I lack it. It's probably the reason that I don't get much done on the web page and why I don't participate in a number of discussion areas to get my views know. It's evident in the blogs I have posted today. They range all over the place! I have been this way most of my life. I think that just too many things interest me and I go from thing to thing without maintaining my focus on any one things for very long. The website is all over the place also. I don't seem to finish anything in particular and this makes the site a hodgepodge of miscellaneous thoughts. The whole things is sort of a gimodudah. posted 07:06 [/WebSite] permanent link Rejecting Global WarmingI was just on a website which appears to wholy reject the thought of global warming. Their retoric is "higher taxes, lost jobs, . . . ". I say hogwash! People always find a way to make money from anything. Jobs may shift to new industries as a result of global warming, but lost? Jobs are being lost now. The same rich folks who are rejecting global warming are cutting jobs by the thousands to boost their profits. They aren't interested in the future or your job. The benefits don't trickle down they rush up. I did a search on Google (no, I won't use the term as a verb) and found a number of paid ads for businesses benefiting from global warming. This number can only increase as the problem becomes worse and we work to solve it. Global warming is real. We need to deal with it, not try to deny that it is happening. Get with the program or get off the planet! posted 06:40 [/Politics] permanent link $350 MillionThat's the cost of an F22, the new stealth fighter that the U.S. Airforce is purchasing, according to NPR. Imagine the number of people you could help with all that money and that's just for one of the things. If we didn't have wars, we wouldn't need these outrageously expensive aircraft and we could really accomplish something. All we'd have to do as a world is obey the first commandment -- "Don't Kill!". posted 06:30 [/bloids] permanent link |
