Weekend of . . .

This has been an interesting weekend. I had to work Saturday night into Sunday morning (11 PM to 3 AM) testing for my real job. I had to spend time preparing for that testing during Saturday and cleaning up after it on Sunday. In between that, I have been working on sod in the front yard with the boys who did a great job. It's raining and cold here today, so that was interesting. I have gone to church, worked on some presents, cleared a drain in the shower (hair is a wonderful thing until it's lodged in a drain somewhere), took the boys to a basketball tournament, run errands, done some miscellaneous grocery shopping, worked on a side job for a client, and generally had what amounts to a typical weekend for many people.

My weekends are generally not so crammed with things, but this weekend is an exception. I suspect that it is typical for many people, however. We tend to try to cram as much as possible into the weekend. My kids have been working on their Christmas wrapping and card making business a lot. Sometimes we just need to sit for a while and relax, but that's difficult duing this part of the year. Anyway, merry Christmas and happy New Year to everyone!
