Introduction

This page is dedicatged to outstandaing moderates. These are my own selection and reflect only my own thinking. These are individuals whom I believe epitomize the ideals of moderation and compromise.

John McCain, U.S. Senator from Arizona

Nominated for his leadership on the "nuclear option" compromise regarding Judicial nominees. McCain has shown moderate leadership in the Republican party, which is dominated by the right wing radlcal element. He has presetned a moderating force in a party more and more dominated by a socially conservative right wing.
