Introduction

This is a place to discuss technical stuff. OK, so what is technical stuff? Well, you know, "stuff that is technical"!

I have pages for open source and web design -- some specific technical topics. This page is for those brief technical things that I want to discuss, but for which I don't feel the need for a specific page.

I find myself having to research things on the web and then produce documents or products from the results of this research. I have tried a number of tools to help with this research. Here are some of my findings.

LDAP

Lightweight Direction Access Protocol (LDAP) is the basis for many directories on the Internet and throughout the computer world. I find myself getting more involved with LDAP than I probably wish I were. Here are my findings and ideas.

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

SOA is something that the company that I work for is moving toward. At least that is the direction of the "architecture team". Since I have to spend some time understanding the architecture to make a living, I thought I'd include it here as a topic.
